Spring feelings and happy bees

Hey!

Today we are very happy to see that our bees have survived the winter and are out cleaning flights in the warm spring air. They look completely overjoyed and we are just as warm in the heart to see the little sweet lives again.

Purging flight is what bees normally do and means they empty their guts after sitting inside the hive during the cold winter.

This weekend we will clean the bottom of the beehives so that they are clean and nice, remove the mouse guards in front of the hives and insert the adjustable doors and open the hives to check how much food they have left. Because they will have to eat their food inside the hive until the willows start to bloom and they can collect pollen.
